Twisting the Rule of Law

Even though there is no direct evidence to connect Zacarias Moussaoui to the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks in New York and Washington, and there is no evidence that he ever killed anyone, President Bush and Atty. Gen. John Ashcroft are dead set on seeing this French national dead (“Moussaoui Hearing Delay Is Sought,” July 25).
Now I understand why our country’s leaders are not willing to make themselves or other Americans subject to the International Criminal Court. They know all about trumped-up charges. In a quest for security, this administration has become the oppressor under the guise of freedom, and it deserves neither security nor freedom.
