UCLA Recruit Arrested

C.J. Niusulu, a defensive lineman scheduled to begin his UCLA football career this fall, has been arrested on charges of felony battery in his hometown of Barstow.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Niusulu, 18, was in a fight at a drive-in theater and the victim required medical treatment for facial injuries.
Niusulu, who is free on $50,000 bond, is scheduled to report to UCLA on Aug. 9. Bruin Coach Bob Toledo is out of town and could not be reached for comment.
