School Superintendent Announces Retirement

The superintendent of the Orange Unified School District has announced her retirement, effective Aug. 2.
Barbara Van Otterloo, 58, who has been superintendent since 1999, wrote to board members, “I have enjoyed the many accomplishments during my tenure, but feel now is the time for me to step aside.”
