Disney Signs Kwan to Endorsement Deal

Walt Disney Co. signed Olympic figure skating bronze medalist Michelle Kwan to a three-year contract to endorse the company’s products, including its theme parks, restaurants and movies. Financial terms of the contract weren’t disclosed.

The partnership continues Kwan’s relationship with Disney. The 21-year-old Californian starred in television specials for Disney and its ABC network, and contributed to figure skating-related books published by the company. The contract is the first for Kwan since her third-place finish at the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, a performance many marketing executives said might hurt her chance at lucrative endorsements.
