Girl Hit by Picket Sign; Striker Faces Charges

A 52-year-old El Cajon woman picketing outside a Vons supermarket was arrested on suspicion of hitting a 13-year-old girl in the head with a picket sign.
Beverly Anne Longdon was booked on a charge of battery in the alleged incident during a labor rally at the Vons Super Store east of San Diego.
