Man Dies From Injuries Sustained in Car Crash

A 19-year-old Oxnard man died early Sunday from injuries sustained in a crash the night before, authorities said.
Ricardo Santos was driving his 1990 Nissan Sentra on Auto Center Drive, west of Paseo Mercado, around 9 p.m. Saturday when he lost control of the vehicle and slammed into a light post in the center median, police said.
He was taken to St. John’s Regional Medical Center, where he died in the intensive care unit about 5:30 a.m.
Alcohol may have played a role in the crash, police said.
