Seats are still available for a volunteer ombudsman training class, through Long Term Care Services of Ventura County, to be held Feb. 17-21 in Ventura.
Duties include ensuring that residents in long-term care facilities are guaranteed their rights. In many cases, the ombudsman is the only objective representative who can speak on a patient’s behalf.
