LONDON — A Harry Potter game for Playstation2, XBox and the Nintendo GameCube will go on sale later this year, software developer Warthog said Friday.
The company, based in Manchester, England, has signed a deal with game software publisher Electronic Arts to develop “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone,” based on J.K. Rowling’s first adventure about the young wizard.
Featuring new 3D graphics, it takes the player on a journey to unravel the mystery of the philosopher’s stone (or sorcerer’s stone, as it was described in U.S. editions of the book).
