Antiwar Protesters Rally in Germany and Italy

Antiwar demonstrators clashed with police outside the U.S. consulate in Hamburg, Germany, and police turned water cannons on the protesters.
Police said a group of Palestinians and Kurds armed with wooden sticks, stones and bottles joined 8,000 student protesters and began attacking officers. Police arrested 21 people.
In the city of Leipzig, about 25,000 people joined in a peace march.
In Italy, thousands of teachers and students took the day off to march peacefully through Rome, Milan, Turin, Venice, Bologna and Naples.
