Demonstrators Show Solidarity With U.S.

Thousands of Canadians marched to show solidarity with the United States and counter antiwar rallies. The biggest demonstration was in the capital, Ottawa, where about 5,000 people braved rainstorms.
In the United States, as many as 12,000 people packed the steps of the Pennsylvania Capitol in Harrisburg. A rally in Cape Cod, Mass., supporting U.S. troops drew about 2,000 and in Miami, thousands of Cuban exiles and others marched to support the U.S. military and to oppose relations with Cuba.
