2001 San Vincenti Chianti Classico
The 2001 from San Vincenti is a little gem from what is fast becoming the overpriced appellation of Chianti Classico. The fruit is bright and lush, with a scent of dried cherries and plums and a velvety nap furred with ripe tannins. Stylistically, it’s modern and traditional at the same time.
Remember this producer because I have a feeling this is not a one-shot deal. The wine is brilliant with food, and a good price for a Chianti Classico of this quality.
