Joining supermodels and business moguls who have made the leap to reality TV, fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger and CBS on Friday unveiled a contest series to pick a new clothing trendsetter.
The show, tentatively titled “The Cut,” will be hosted by Hilfiger, and the winner among 16 contestants will have the chance to design a fashion collection under the Tommy Hilfiger label, the producers said in a statement.
Contestants will live together in a loft in New York’s Soho district, and they will be given tasks that test their skills in fashion design, sales, marketing and finance.
Each week, a “style council” will cut one from the group until a winner is chosen. The 13-episode program is expected to begin its run as a midseason show on CBS.
