A Healdsburg woman faces up to 13 years in prison after pleading no contest to involuntary manslaughter and child endangerment for leaving her two young children locked for hours in a van on a hot summer day.
Healdsburg police said Rena Corban, 36, was under the influence of alcohol and painkillers Aug. 19 when she left Liam Paulsen, 2, and Jaden Paulsen, 4, in a minivan outside their home. Liam died from the extreme heat; Jaden survived. Corban entered her plea Thursday.
