Brown, Worthy Help Lift Lions

Charles Brown scored 13 points, Brandon Worthy had 11 and Matthew Knight had 10 to lead Loyola Marymount (5-1) over South Alabama, 63-59, Tuesday night at Mobile, Ala.

Mario Jointer led South Alabama (2-4) with a game-high 33 points.

Brown made four of 11 shots from the field, including three of five three-point shots.

WOMEN

USC 68, San Diego 47 -- Senior Rachel Woodward and freshman Brynn Cameron each scored 11 points to lead the Trojans (4-2) at San Diego.

The Trojans forced the Toreros into 31 turnovers but committed 22. The Trojans shot 37% from the field, and San Diego shot 34.6%.

Forward Amber Sprague had 14 points for San Diego (3-4), and forward Sabine Loewe had 10 rebounds.
