My buddy Mat and I went backpacking in early January on the Pacific Crest Trail from the Mexican border to the city of Anza. Some nights were in the teens around Mt. Laguna. It was sad to see that so much of the wilderness was burnt from Mt. Laguna to the Riverside County line.
