Officer in Fair Condition After Multi-Car Accident

A police officer injured in a multi-car accident Wednesday night was in fair condition Thursday, authorities said.
Candice Mudgett, 28, was en route to help other officers chasing a motorcyclist when her patrol car collided with two vehicles at Verdugo Road and York Boulevard, police said. Her injuries were not disclosed. Another driver suffered a broken leg.
The motorcyclist, Victor Didenko, 31, a transient, was booked on suspicion of evading police, a felony.
