Winery Backs Measure Banning Altered Crops

Fetzer Vineyards, the largest winery in Mendocino County, has come out in favor of a measure that would ban genetically altered crops in the county.
Fetzer’s support of Measure H was a big boost for local proponents of the initiative to make Mendocino the first county in the nation to ban genetically modified organisms, or GMOs.
Fetzer President Paul Dolan said the decision to support Measure H was based on the winery’s involvement in the growing organic wine market.
