Limits to Compromise

“Hahn Opens the Door to Scaled-Back LAX Plan” (June 11) once again mentions Los Angeles City Councilwoman Cindy Miscikowski’s instrumental role in negotiating an acceptable compromise between the mayor and City Council over changes to Los Angeles International Airport.
It seems that the councilwoman is growing nicely into her job and has a promising future ahead of her as a much-needed force for the sane working out of differences in local government, right? Wrong. Term limits: Los Angeles’ guarantee that experience on the job shall not be tolerated.
