Killer of 8 Children Is Executed, Reports Say

Japan executed a man convicted of killing seven girls and one boy in a 2001 knife attack at a school in western Japan, NHK and Kyodo News reported.
Mamoru Takuma was found guilty of killing the children, ages 6 to 8, in a classroom. Two teachers and 13 other students were wounded.
The Justice Ministry confirmed hanging two prisoners, but Japan does not make public the names of people executed.
