Glenn Carrera and Kevin Cruz, Los Angeles Cathedral: Carrera rushed for 217 yards and three touchdowns and Cruz made 17 tackles and recovered a fumble in a 40-7 nonleague victory at North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake.
GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL
Taylor Carico, Mira Costa: Was named MVP of the Las Vegas Durango tournament after the Mustangs defeated Los Alamitos, 25-15, 25-18, to win the championship-bracket title of the 32-team event.
Mallorie Croal and Dana Van Voorhis, Santa Ana Mater Dei: Croal had 11 kills and Van Voorhis added seven kills for the Monarchs (8-1) in a 25-19, 25-15 victory over South Torrance for the Silver Division title of the Las Vegas Durango tournament.
BOYS’ WATER POLO
Colin Tewksbury and Jessee Warkentin, Riverside Poly: Tewksbury scored five goals and drew two ejections and Warkentin made 14 saves for Riverside Poly as the Bears (5-0) won the championship of their own tournament, defeating Murrieta Valley, 10-6.
