GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL
* Lindsay Navarette, Costa Mesa: Had 10 kills, 10 digs and three aces to lift the Mustangs to a 25-11, 25-8, 25-8 victory over Westminster in a Golden West League opener.
* Kelly Hyder, Huntington Beach Edison: Had 11 kills and 15 digs to lead the Chargers, ranked No. 3 in Southern Section Division II-AA, to a 25-21, 25-15, 25-20 victory over Corona del Mar, ranked No. 1 in Division III-A.
BOYS’ WATER POLO
* Rory Bevins, Anaheim Servite: Had five goals, two assists and two steals to lead the Friars, ranked third in Southern Section Division II, in a 16-7 victory over La Habra.
GIRLS’ GOLF
* Melanie DeLeon, Saugus: Shot a three-over par 39 to earn medalist honors in a 227-235 victory over Quartz Hill at Rancho Vista.
