Jason Blake scored in his return from a concussion and Mike York had a goal and two assists Wednesday as the New York Islanders beat the New Jersey Devils, 4-2, at Uniondale, N.Y.
Blake sat out two games after his scary crash into the boards Dec. 13, but the U.S. Olympic forward had New York’s first two shots against Martin Brodeur and put the Islanders ahead less than three minutes into the game.
In other games, Philippe Boucher and Stu Barnes each had two goals for the Dallas Stars, who beat the Blue Jackets, 5-3, at Columbus, Ohio.... Rookie Ryan Suter scored his first NHL goal as the Nashville Predators beat the Blackhawks, 6-1, at Chicago.... Ryan Smyth scored the go-ahead goal as the Edmonton Oilers beat the Canucks, 7-6, at Vancouver.
