Holiday closures

Today is Presidents Day. The following closures are in effect:

Riverside County

Schools: No classes at public schools, UC Riverside, College of the Desert, Mt. San Jacinto College or Palo Verde College.

Mail: No delivery, and post offices are closed.

Public transportation: The Riverside Transit Agency is on a Sunday schedule. Sunline Transit Agency is on a normal schedule.

Trash collection: Pickup will be delayed one day.

Libraries: County and most city facilities are closed.

Banks: Most are closed.

Government: City, county and federal offices and courts are closed.

San Bernardino County

Schools: No classes at public schools or Loma Linda University, Crafton Hills College or Barstow Community College. Cal State San Bernardino and University of Redlands will hold classes.

Mail: No delivery, and post offices are closed.

Public transportation: Omnitrans and Victorville Transit are on normal schedules.

Trash collection: Pickup will be delayed a day.

Libraries: County and most city facilities are closed.

Banks: Most are closed.

Government: City, county and federal offices and courts closed.

Los Angeles County

Offices: All city, county, state and federal offices will be closed.

Mail: There will be no mail delivery; post offices will be closed.

Libraries: Most libraries will be closed.

Banks: Most banking institutions will be closed.

Schools: Public schools will be closed.

Public transit: MTA buses and Metro Rail lines will provide regular weekday service. Metrolink will operate on a reduced schedule. For information, call (800) 371-LINK or log onto www.metrolinktrains.com.

Trash collection: The city of Los Angeles will maintain regular pickup schedules.
