Alleged Serial Rapist Appears in Court

A serial rape suspect who was arrested Friday after a manhunt and a high-speed chase appeared in court and was told he was under investigation for charges including kidnapping.
Brent J. Brents, 35, who was released by police in a Denver suburb last fall even though he allegedly had admitted abusing a boy, is suspected of sexually assaulting at least five women and girls in one neighborhood earlier this month.
Formal charges were not filed, but bail was set at $25 million.
