Leno’s Cruel Jokes
Elaine Showalter’s article, “Jacko or Jay: Who’s the Creepy Clown?” (Opinion, March 20), is very well taken. Leno’s humor is, and has been for a long time, “cruel, homophobic and macabre.” It makes me miss Johnny Carson even more.

Jay Leno has gone over the top with his constant harping and obsession with Michael Jackson’s trial. Does he have a personal vendetta against Jackson? I stopped watching his show many months ago. It is not only about Jackson. Jay has lost it; there is no humor on his show anymore. Now I know why David Letterman is paid more.
