Police continued searching the Los Angeles region Saturday for a man who allegedly killed a Denver police detective Monday and wounded another.
Denver police, with help from Los Angeles police, were combing the region for Raul Garcia-Gomez, whose Dodge Neon was found Tuesday just south of the Los Angeles city limits.
Garcia-Gomez, 19, allegedly shot and killed Det. Donnie Young and wounded Det. Jack Bishop on Monday night after he was refused entry into a private party, authorities said. The detectives were off duty and working as security officers at the time of the shooting.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call (877) 529-3855 or (213) 485-2531.
