Police found the bullet-riddled body of a suspect in Brazil’s biggest bank robbery, in which $72 million was stolen by thieves who tunneled into the building.
Luiz Fernando Salles, 26, was kidnapped next to a bar in Brazil’s financial capital of Sao Paulo last Friday by assailants claiming to be federal police agents.
Police said it seemed to be the work of bandits. Salles’ family had paid a ransom of $890,000. Police said Salles was a suspect based on witness accounts.
