Driver Killed in Gunfire Exchange With Police

From Times Staff and Wire Reports — A 31-year-old man identified as a robbery suspect was shot to death Thursday at the end of a 30-minute car chase in which he exchanged gunfire with police.
Police attempted to stop the man, whose name was not released, but he sped away. His car hit a traffic sign and stopped, but he continued to fire shots. No officers were hurt.
