German Woman Burns House in Spider Overkill

A German woman set fire to her family home as she tried to kill spiders in the garage first with a can of hairspray and then a cigarette lighter.
Police in the western town of Zulpich said that when the aerosol failed, the 34-year-old woman tried to burn the bugs. But the sprayed area caught fire, and the house is uninhabitable.
“She tried to put the fire out with a garden hose, but couldn’t,” a police spokesman said. “The spiders are gone though.”
