From Times Wire Reports
Three former Rwandan Cabinet ministers went on trial before a U.N. tribunal in Arusha, Tanzania, in connection with their country’s 1994 genocide.
They were leaders of the onetime ruling party that presided over the 100-day slaughter of more than 800,000 members of the Tutsi ethnic minority and Hutu moderates.
Mathieu Ngirumpatse, Edouard Karemera and Joseph Nzirorera have pleaded not guilty to genocide and crimes against humanity.
