DeLay quits; critics are just getting started

Re “DeLay Quits His Drive for Reelection,” April 4
What a great day for America. Rep. Tom DeLay (R-Texas) resigns. With DeLay’s ties with corrupt lobbyists, illegal operations out of his office, wives on payrolls, golf trips in other countries and employees who were once on his staff admitting that they committed crimes, this is welcome news. These events are what happens when one party controls all branches of government.
It’s time to clean House in November.

What will the Democrats ever do, now that their poster boy for Republican corruption plans to slink away with his tail between his legs, to be out of sight and out of the public mind?
Oh wait, I forgot -- there are likely to be plenty more just waiting to be made famous in the same way. Sing a little louder please, Mr. Abramoff!
