Friday’s Morning Briefing describes California’s poor showing in the Sporting News’ survey of sports cities. Among the criteria: fan fervor, franchise ownership, playoffs, stadiums.
That’s not sports. Sports is going surfing, going skiing, riding your bike. Sports is playing tennis, playing volleyball, even playing golf.
All that other stuff is either big business or sitting on your butt, getting fat.
