A semitruck overturned Saturday morning on the Golden State Freeway in Sun Valley, dumping nearly 20,000 pounds of cat litter onto the road and causing the closure of two lanes of traffic, authorities said.
Officer Patrick Kimball of the California Highway Patrol said the accident occurred about 6 a.m. just south of the Sunland Boulevard offramp.
It took Caltrans four hours to right the vehicle and clear the freeway, Kimball said.
