Stereotyping is no party

In the Ask Amy column [Dec. 7], the writer chose to discuss, and you thought it appropriate to publish, a letter where the author was complaining about how those Jews come to the Christmas Eve party, form a clique excluding non-Jews, and then talk about bar/bat mitzvahs, the need to move to a more Jewish neighborhood, and how to spend money. Amy’s response was to tell the sender to exclude these people.
I have no idea of the journalistic standards of Amy Dickinson. I thought I had some idea about those of the Los Angeles Times.
