Workers’ Comp Changes Come at Cost for Injured

Regarding “Workers’ Comp Savings Detailed,” Feb. 4: This is one of the biggest farces ever foisted on California workers.
While working for a local air-quality district, I severely injured my back and leg in October 2004.
As my case winds its way through innumerable layers of bureaucracy, I have not received any treatment through the workers’ compensation nightmare other than increasingly stronger pain medication.
The savings to employers may be important; however, it is on the backs of the injured workers who have been suffering and continue to suffer from lack of care.
