Annette Kelly, 93; gold medalist in 400-meter relay at two Olympics

Annette Kelly, 93, a two-time Olympic gold medalist in the 400-meter relay, died Wednesday in Des Plaines, Ill. She had suffered a stroke about two months ago and was battling an infection at the time of her death.
Competing as Annette Rogers before she was married, Kelly won gold medals in the 400-meter relay at the 1932 Olympics in Los Angeles and the 1936 Games in Berlin. She also placed sixth in the high jump in 1932 and fifth in the 100 meters in 1936.
The daughter of Irish immigrants, Kelly was raised in Chicago, received a degree from Northwestern University and taught physical education at Lakeview High School in Chicago.
