The ship cell trend: Not all are aboard
I’M disappointed but not surprised to find that cruise operators are caving in to cellphone users [“Cellphone Users Dial, and Some Cruise Lines Are Picking Up,” Travel Insider, Nov. 5].
Public phone use is intrusive, and polite phone users seem to be in the minority wherever you go. Future passengers who want to get away from the technological chatter will be relegated to isolated places on the ship.
Now you know why many of us nearing retirement age, with money and time on our hands, have no plans to cruise.
