* at New Jersey 4, Boston 3: The Devils won their eighth game in a row when Patrik Elias scored with 1:44 left in overtime.
* at Atlanta 4, N.Y. Islanders 3: The Thrashers won in a shootout, handing the Islanders their fourth loss in a row.
* at Columbus 5, Colorado 4: Dan Fritsche’s goal with 4:05 left allowed the Blue Jackets to beat the Avalanche for the second time in 26 meetings between the teams.
* Ottawa 5, at Florida 4: Randy Robitaille scored twice, and Ray Emery stopped a penalty shot in the third period to help the Senators end a seven-game losing streak.
* Philadelphia 3, at Minnesota 1: Jeff Carter had a goal and an assist and the Flyers won their fourth straight road game.
* San Jose 3, at Dallas 2: Joe Thornton scored the go-ahead goal with 8:36 left and added two assists for the Sharks.
* Vancouver 3, at Chicago 2: Brendan Morrison scored early in the third period to break a tie and also had an assist for the Canucks.
* Pittsburgh 4, at Edmonton 2: The Penguins’ Sidney Crosby had three assists in the third period.
* at Ducks 4, Buffalo 1: The Ducks ended a 10-game winless streak against the Sabres.
* at Phoenix 4, Kings 1: Michael Cammalleri had the only goal for the Kings, who have lost all three games to the Coyotes this season.
