Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. said it lost $358 million in the fourth quarter, the costly effect of a nearly three-month strike.
The loss of $2.02 a share for the quarter ended Dec. 31 was because of a strike of more than 14,000 workers at 16 plants that dragged down sales. Sales totaled $4.98 billion for the quarter.
Akron, Ohio-based Goodyear placed the cost of the strike at $367 million, or $2.07 a share.
