Making blooms leap off the page

KUDOS to Emily Green for a thoughtful, well-written article on the science of blooms [“Staggering the Beauty,” March 1]. This was a wonderful introduction to the needs of flowering plant life without a lot of lingo. Languidly describing the environmental and genetic inducements to blossom, this article had much art and bloom itself. Fresh and bright like a spring day.
