Investigators were scrambling for clues Saturday in the death of a woman whose body was found wedged between two cars in a Van Nuys parking garage.
Fire officials said the woman was discovered about 2:30 p.m. in the subterranean parking garage of an apartment building in the 15000 block of Sherman Way by two residents of the building.
Authorities believe the woman, who was not immediately identified by the Los Angeles County coroner’s office, may have been trying to rearrange cars that were parked in tandem, one behind the other.
“Despite our quick response, she was sadly beyond our help,” said Brian Humphrey, spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department.
