Trampling on coyotes’ turf

I could not help but think of the number of coyote haters your article [“If a Coyote Comes Calling,” Oct. 4] enlisted. Let us not forget who was here first. Coyotes control rat, mice, gopher, snake and rabbit populations, just to name a few. We need more articles about protecting and preserving nature. Who is standing up for the coyote?
