Update: Jean-Sebastien Giguere is expected to start in goal. Giguere left the team last week for personal reasons, but returned Sunday. Teemu Selanne’s power-play goal in a 4-1 victory over Carolina on Sunday was his 13th for the season, 12 of which have come on the power play. Detroit has been without Tomas Holmstrom, who has missed six games because of a back injury, and Darren McCarty, who has missed two games because of a groin injury.
