Brian Keith Patch, a 36-year-old skateboarder who starred in the X Games, pleaded not guilty Wednesday to a charge of having sex with a 15-year-old girl.
Patch faces a pretrial hearing July 24 on the single felony count of lewd acts with a child.
Prosecutors said Patch had sex with the girl, who slept at his house after she ran away from home in April. The girl was a skateboarder and had known Patch for three years.
Patch set a Guinness world record for longest air on a skateboard in 2001, but it was broken by Danny Way in 2006. Patch also has five X Games medals in four categories.
