BRCKO, BOSNIA-HERZEGOVINA — More than 5,000 people attended the funeral Saturday of 47 victims of a Serb attack in the northern Bosnian town of Brcko at the beginning of the country’s 1992-95 war.
The remains of the Muslim civilians were among 277 found in a mass grave in nearby Gorice. About 80 bodies had previously been identified and buried.
More than 500 Muslim Bosnians and Catholic Croats from Brcko remain missing since the war.
Four people have so far received jail sentences for crimes committed in Brcko.
