Re “Will the O.C. bump the Duke?” Opinion, March 5
Gustavo Arellano writes of the possibility of renaming John Wayne Airport. He neglects two salient points: This is the age of corporate sponsorship, and the Federal Aviation Administration designation for this airport is SNA. Given that, and with a special nod to Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim owner Arte Moreno, I suggest the following, “John Wayne, Archer Daniels Midland, Orange County (The O.C.) Airport, (almost) at Santa Ana, (SNA).”
