Flooding caused by a tropical storm has killed 90 people and displaced 20,000 in southern Yemen, police and the World Food Program said.
The WFP said it has been difficult to get aid to hard-hit Hadhramaut province because floodwaters destroyed many roads.
A police official said 24 farms were wrecked in last week’s storm. Neighboring Arab countries have sent in planes loaded with goods. Oman provided medical supplies and the Emirati Red Crescent gave $100,000 to the relief effort.
