If I read articles by Ronald Brownstein again, I’ll have to remember not to do so while eating breakfast. It’s dangerous to my health.
How can Brownstein say that “Obama’s campaign’s overriding goal
Obama is all of the above and has not tried to obscure these facts. Why should he? By his own efforts, Obama achieved the American dream. He was not a college legacy who enjoyed an easy, free ride. Are Americans so insecure as to judge such achievement with suspicion and derision?
Obama is the beneficiary of America’s greatest wealth -- opportunity for its children to access the greatest halls of learning and academe. The image of a candidate “wolfing down a Big Mac” and “owning a pickup with AstroTurf in the back” is not a litmus test for my vote. Is this, really, what my fellow citizens are looking for?
