An 11-month-old girl in a stroller was killed Sunday after being struck by a car, Los Angeles police said.
The victim and a 5-year-old sister were both being pushed in the stroller by their mother across the intersection of Bonnie Brae Street and Olympic Boulevard around 6 p.m. when they were hit, said LAPD Officer Karen Smith, a department spokeswoman. The mother suffered minor injuries, and the 5-year-old was taken to a local hospital, Smith said.
The driver fled the scene, but the car, a Honda, was later found near the Staples Center, Smith said.
