State agents served a search warrant Thursday on a Studio City doctor who allegedly prescribed methadone to model Anna Nicole Smith, a spokeswoman for the Medical Board of California confirmed.
It was at least the second time since October 2007 that officials for the Medical Board had searched a location connected to Dr. Sandeep Kapoor, who was reported to have prescribed methadone to Smith for pain management.
Kapoor has said he cannot discuss details of Smith’s treatment because of patient confidentiality. She died Feb. 8, 2007.
